A $3m Illawarra engineering business
You do the work. We guide you each month.
- What was going on
Nothing was broken. The business was profitable and steady, and the owner wanted to grow. The question was how, and where the next dollar and the next hire should go.
- What we did
We sat down with the owner each month and laid out the options. He could sell what he already does to new customers or new regions. He could offer a new service to the customers he already has. Or he could do both, which is the biggest swing and the biggest risk. We put numbers against each option, picked the one with the best odds and tested it small first. He ran it, with us beside him.
- What changed
The answer wasn’t a new market. His existing customers were already paying someone else for maintenance work. A service plan for those customers went in first, and a new region is lined up next.
